We posted frequent updates when the choir was in Spain. Photos will continue be added as they become available.

ITINERARY:

Thu., June 11 : Final rehearsal at First Baptist.

Fri., June 12: Leave Chattanooga by bus from First Baptist Church at noon.
Travel by bus to Atlanta airport for 6:05 pm flight to Frankfort, Germany.

Sat., June 13: Arrive in Frankfort at 9:05 am and connect to a 1:00 pm flight to Barcelona, Spain.
Arrive in Barcelona at 2:55 pm and travel by bus to hotel in nearby Calella.
Check into hotel, then go on short walking tour of area. Buffet dinner at hotel.

Sun., June 14: After breakfast, sing for morning Sunday Church Service at the parish church of Calella.
After lunch at hotel, explore town and/or swim.
Walk to Carpa Playa de Calella to perform in the evening Opening Concert of the 3rd International Festival of Calella.
Dinner at hotel.

Mon., June 15: Breakfast at hotel.
Sightseeing tour of Barcelona, with boxed lunch.
Dinner at hotel.

Tue., June 16: Breakfast at hotel.
Morning departure to Montserrat, an ancient monastery. The choir may offer a song at the main alter of the Basilica.
Boxed lunch, then return to hotel by 6:00 pm.
Enjoy special dinner out with a live flamenco show.

Wed., June 17: Breakfast at hotel.
Participate with other choirs in International Parade of Singers through Calella's Historic Town Center. Each choir will sing a song in front of the town hall..
Return to hotel for lunch, then enjoy the afternoon exploring Calella.
Dinner in hotel, then return to the festival to perform a 20-minute concert.

Thu., June 18: Breakfast at hotel, then depart for Barcelona.
Enjoy full day of activities, including the Picasso Museum and shopping time. Boxed lunch provided.
Perform a 45-minute concert at the Convent de Sant Agustí.
Return to Calella for dinner, then return to the festival to hear other participating choirs.

Fri., June 19: After hotel breakfast, take a cruise along the Costa Brava coastline. See the Castle and old city walls in the seaside town of Tossa de Mar. Boxed lunch provided.
Return to the festival to sing in the final Concert Series.
Dinner and Skit Night at the hotel, then enjoy the Closing Festivities back at the festival.
Pack and prepare for very early departure!

Sat., June 20: At 2:30 am (!), depart for Barcelona Airport for a 6:55 am flight back to Frankfort, connecting to a noon Lufthansa flight which will arrive in Atlanta on the same day at 4:00 pm.
Go through customs (may take awhile!) and then board bus for Chattanooga.
The bus will be back at First Baptist Church no earlier than 6:30 pm and could be as late as 8:00 pm.
